Local Language Translation Project

The goal of the translation project is to assist our members with local translations in their language so they can understand our documents better. The official communication language within CAcert is English but in the Wiki you'll find translations of various important documents. Those translations are only provided as a service to our users and are only informational. The English version is still the one legally binding

A general rule for naming translated pages is: 

<page name of source document>/<2-letter language code>

E.g. if PoJAM is the translated document, then you'll find the German translation at PoJAM/DE.

Why in Local Languages?

Today, most people active with CAcert are related to IT and have a good understandig of English. But not everybody interested in CAcert.org is able to understand English text or the meaning of CCA sufficiently. As a customer support service the CAcert site, wiki and other textes as CCA will be translated in various local languages upon demand by the CAcert.org Community. (Legally authoritative remains the original English text.)
