Central Business Names Index [1] is the first stop in order to check, if a organisation exists. The Company Record (Handelsregisterauszug) issued and certified by the competent Registery Office (Handelsregisteramt), not older than 30 days and the text published in the Swiss Commercial Gazette [2] are legally binding (Remark: normaly only changes are published in the Swiss Commercial Gazette, an overview is only available at the Registery Office). This Company Record lists all persons, officially authorized to sign legally binding on behalf of the company, except employees with Commercial Power of Attorney (Handelsbevollmächtigte).

If the person in charge for the assurence project is not listed in the Company Record, a Commercial Power of Attorney for CAcert Oranisation Assurence is needed.

This document has to be issued on organisation's official stationary. It's content has to describe the assignment and to give full personal details (Sex, Name, First Name, Date of Birth and Place of Origin) of the person in charge. The document has to be duly signed by a person, listed in the Company Record.
