1.2 Accept the Minutes of the last Arbitration Team Meeting
Meeting didn't happen so no minutes
- 1.3 Who is taking the minutes and transcript
2 Business - Important Note: Business must be added at least 48 Hours before beginning of meeting!
2.1 Training added by AlexRobertson
- 2.1.1 The concept of "in training" and "supervising arbitrator" appear to have sneaked into use with no basis in policy, no defined process as to how this is to be managed or clarity of who is in charge. Board and the internal auditor require a process as to how arbitrator training is handled and how the training period is completed. (Another term that has also sneaked in is "senior arbitrator" - again without definition!)
I do not remember any discussion about formal "in training" status of an Arbitrator (above the "some training will be necessary, they should not start with the most difficult cases" level). It seems like PD introduced the status on Alex at 2012-11-20 without any comment, more than half a year after Alex was added to the list. It would be very interesting to know if PD did this because of discussions with other people, or "just from the feeling". BernhardFröhlich
- 2.1.2 There are currently two arbitrators flagged as "in training". This meeting needs to review and confirm whether or not this status is still appropriate.
If the status of single persons will be discussed as openly as this meeting will be, I will file a dispute because I regard this as a privacy violation for those persons, as their performance and personal oppinions regarding them has to be discussed. EvaStöwe

2.2 Appeal Procedures added by AlexRobertson
An initial process for the appointment of an appeal panel has been defined and is at Lesson 71 - Appeals - How the DRO appoints an appeal panel. This procedure is a requirement of DRP 3.4 and is within the remit of the DRO, but comments are invited.
2.3 Inactive arbitrators added by AlexRobertson
There are a lot of inactive arbitrators (orange flagged in the list of arbirators. This presents a false picture of the health of the arbitration team and I propose two changes - that the inactive arbitrators are moved to an extra list below the list of resigned arbitrators and the remaining active arbitrators are shown sorted by date of appointment/reappointment
