Correct Error 13.1

Introduction

13.1 Refers to Rule 11 not Rule 12. As it talks about a a right of an appeal against a resolution of the committee this would indicate it is referring to Rule 12.

It is possible to argue the clause as an appeal against Rule 11. However, our current DRP already has its own appeal process, and the prior mediation by community justice centers almost certainly had its own process as well.

Not a high priority.

Motion

By changing rule 13.1 to read:

(1) A member may appeal to the association in general meeting against a resolution of the committee under rule 12, within 7 days after notice of the resolution is served on the member, by lodging with the secretary a notice to that effect.

Old Text of rule 13.1

(1) A member may appeal to the association in general meeting against a resolution of the committee under rule 11, within 7 days after notice of the resolution is served on the member, by lodging with the secretary a notice to that effect.
