DNS Changes
Some DNS entries are of critical importance to CAcert.
Who can request a change?
DNS changes can be requested by:
- Infrastructure Administrators
- Critical System Administrators
Process
- The systems administrator defines what DNS change is required. DNS changes will only be accepted if relevant to the systems an administrator is responsible for.
If the DNS changes a record entry to refer to an IP address not owned by CAcert permission of infrastructure-admin@cacert.org/dns-admin@cacert.org/Board is required.
Administrators are to email dns-admin@cacert.org (and CC infrastructure-admin@cacert.org if non-critical infrastructure).
- DNS changes will occur and you will be notified once the change as taken place.
