How can I help CAcert?

That depends on your knowledge and capabilities:

Programmer

Please join [http://bugs.cacert.org/] and search for those bugs that are still open, and do not contain ready-made patches with them. Get the sourcecode of CAcert, and develop patches, and post them to the bugtracker.

Administrator

Please grab a copy of the CAcert sourcecode, and set it up in a virtual environment that is accessible from the Internet, and hand out root accounts to the developers, so that we can use it for testing and development.

Programmer+Administrator

Please setup a demo environment of the CAcert system, and try out all available Regression Testing systems for Web-Applications you can find. The aim is to build up a regression-testing enviroment where we can automatically test through all the workflows of the system, to get to a test-driven development model. Important is that the regression system can both automate the web-interface, receive emails and react on them. Please write down everything (all your findings about the existing regression test systems, the details how to setup the system, a howto for the developers how they can use it, ...) on this page: [http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/RegressionTest]

Information-Designer

Please grab a copy of the CAcert sourcecode, and start improving the website. Take the information from the Wiki, and structure it to improve the usability and information availability of the website.

Webmaster

Please join [http://bugs.cacert.org/] and search for the Web-Related bugs that are still open, and do not contain ready-made patches with them. Get the sourcecode of CAcert (most of the website is part of the sourcecode), and develop patches, and post them to the bugtracker.

Translator

Please head over to [http://www.translingo.org/] , register yourself, join the "CAcert" project there, and translate the website there. Please also think about translating the Wikiweb.
