hereby I file a dispute against the assurances of the account "william@jasbec.com because the person owning this account is "William Jazbec" not "William Jasbec" (spelled with "z" not with "c") as stated inside the account. Explanation:
At SYSTEMS 2007 the person owning this account came to me asking for an Assurance. The form said "William Jasbec", his official documents said "William Jazbec". I denied the assurance because of this mismatch and he explained me, that he wrote a different name in his account because it is easier to spell. While I understood the reason, I told him that there is policy in CAcert which allows this and that all names in the accounts have to match the name shown on the official documents. He understood this and told me that support should correct this to "William Jazbec" as soon as possible.
I informed support and support (Philipp handled it) wrote to Mr. Jasbec confirming the change request and asking for an copy of the ID to prove it. Mr. Jazbec ignored this request. I wrote him some about two weeks ago on the same issue, again no comment from him.
Therefore I ask the Arbitrator:
(a) All existing certificates of this account, stating the wrong name "William Jasbec" should be revoked.
(b) All existing assurances on this account should be revoked as they are not correct.
(c) Mr. Jazbec should provide the needed document copies to support or the account should be closed.
During SYSTEMS we have already done assurances to the correct forms (stating "William Jazbec"). The points can be transfered as soon as the above is done, so Mr. Jazbec does not need to look for new assurances.

(a) All existing certificates of this account, stating the wrong name "William Jasbec" should be revoked.
(b) All existing assurances on this account should be revoked as they are not correct.
(c) The account should be closed.

On 2008/01/01 the arbitrator sent the following email, and was awaiting reply:

Hi William,
Please see the web page <http://wiki.cacert.org/wiki/Arbitrations/a20071205.1> regarding a dispute about the spelling of your name. I am the arbitrator assigned to this case. Please respond to me within two weeks so we can figure out how to resolve this.
regards, and happy new year!
Greg.

Attepts to send this email to domains with both spellings of "jasbek" bounced as undeliverable. Therefore the arbitrator rules that certificates issued to this individual and any assurances be revoked, and the account closed.

Execution of the resolution

As we did not get any information since Junuary 1st 2008 from the CAcert user " william@jasbec.com , we have acted today according to the present arbitration resolution :

The case is now closed.

Appeal of the resolution

Upon request of the Respondent William Jazbec, the Arbitrator (Greg Rose) decided to reopen the case. Mr Jazbec lately replied, willing to provide the pieces of information needed to comply to the resolution. The Arbitrator decided to allow the CAcert support team to check the informations provided by the Respondant and restore as much as possible his CAcert account.

The appeal of the case is closed
